I’m a journalist by trade, but for the past four years I’ve been working as a (freelance) translator. One of my main clients is Pangea Localization Services where I translate text (from English into Norwegian Bokmal) for trading and gaming websites, as well as proofreading and editing work.

I also write (translate) and proofread (asset qc) subtitles for films and TV programmes, and have edited synopses for TV shows.

I have worked for newspapers in Norway and England for about 30 years, both as a reporter and as a sub-editor.

Enjoying a busy life, I also run my own jewellery business, Made By Marianne, making and selling my pearl and gemstone jewellery online and at events.
