These ranged from Border Force, counter extremism, serious organised crime, county lines, safeguarding and modern slavery, the resettlement of war zone refugees to the protection of Pangolins.

Experienced in critical situations I covered the newsdesk – the busiest in Whitehall – during the Windrush and migant boat crises.

My previous position was senior journalist at The Sun. During a diverse career I covered varied agenda setting stories on the ground from international terrorist attacks to the death of Jade Goody.
